Booking Procedure
- You are able to reserve your cottage by telephone, e-mail or letter. It will be held exclusively to you for a period of one week, pending receipt of :-
- A completed and signed booking form, together with a cheque for the deposit (50% of the total rental).
- The booking will then be confirmed and made definite by our written acknowledgement of it. On the understanding that :-
The balance of the tariff is settled six weeks prior to your arrival. We will send a reminder.
In the case of reservations made within six weeks of your stay, or in the case of short stays, the full tariff will be paid in order to secure the booking.
- We reserve the right to refuse any booking without reason prior to our written confirmation.
Cancellation and Change.
- In the event of your cancelling your booking we shall return any monies held by us as far as they are replaced by a subsequent booking.
- Numbers will not exceed the cottage's stated capacity.
- You agree to advise us of any proposed change to the booking whether it be names or numbers.
Arrival and Departure Times.
- Arrival. No earlier than 4pm, please. At which time the grounds will be open.
- Departure. Your cottage should be vacated
no later than 10am.
Visitors.
- Strictly no outside visitors are permitted and it is a condition of the booking that you grant no access to any person outwith the party specified on the booking form.
During Your Stay
- Your cottage and the grounds are to be treated with care and respect.
- Cleaning. Equipment and materials are provided to enable you to leave the cottage in a clean and presentable state, paying particular attention, please, to all floors, the kitchen and its appliances.
We trust that all guests find their cottage prepared to the highest possible standard; that is a product of the consideration of prior guests as well as the efforts of a change-over day.
Smoking.
- For the sake of all guests, we have a strict no smoking policy throughout the estate.
Photography
- We are happy for guests to take photographs as mementos of their stay at Kames. We ask, however, that digital images of Kames are not available for viewing by the general public without prior consent. Images that are displayed on the worldwide web should be protected by an access code and should not be available for open viewing by the general public. This will help to ensure that the privacy of all our guests is protected.
Pets.
- We are sorry, no pets are permitted.
We will provide.
- All bed linen, towels and tea towels, as well as oven gloves and an initial supply of hand soap and lavatory paper.
- Your tariff includes all heating and electricity.
