The Isle of Bute has lots of lovely walks for dog owners, including Ettrick Bay, Rhubodach Forest, Skipper Woods and Kilchattan Bay. Please consult the ‘Dog Friendly Walks’ info-sheet provided in your cottage for more information.

Kames Castle Cottages welcomes well behaved dogs, one large or two small, belonging to guests staying in each of Blane, Ninian, Catan and Marnoc Cottages. In bringing a dog (s) to Kames, guests are agreeing to the following terms:

Guests are responsible for keeping their pets on leads and under control at all times. Liability for injury or damage caused to or by visiting pets will rest entirely with the pet owner. Dogs must not disturb or irritate other guests, nor the wildlife that frequent the grounds, nor the livestock in adjacent fields. It is the responsibility of the owner to clean up after their dog. While staying at Kames, pets must not be left unsupervised and are not permitted to sleep on cottage furniture or to enter bedrooms. It is guests’ responsibility to provide adequate bedding for their pet throughout their stay. Please note that dogs are not allowed in the walled garden.
